Tout a commencé par l'idée de deux collègues lors du salon CPH Vision en printemps 2005, qui cherchaient des marques à coopérer avec leur jeune boîte de distribution. Comme ils n'avaient rien trouvé pendant des heures, Rolf et Tue ont decidé de fonder leur propre marque d'après leur imagination. C'est d'après cette idée qu'ils ont crée une marque qui réunit l'humour et l'insouciance avec des coupes cool et des motifs frappants. Comme d'habitude tous est d'une qualité supérieure. Ce qui rend Björkvin connu, c'est le mouton typique qui accompagne chacque collection et qui fait part de la devise "We say the sheep."
